Court Ordered Parent Education

Have you been to court and ordered to take a Parenting Class?

COURSE AIM is to assist you and the children involved to cope with the adverse effects of divorce, separation, custody and/or visitation conflicts by addressing:

  • Child support and financial responsibilities
  • Options for conflict resolution
  • Parenting responsibilities
  • Effects of separation and divorce on children

Please call our office for more information or to register for a class at 276-889-0290.  Classes are $50 per person due the day of the class.

Angela Keen teaches the four hour Co-Parenting class on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Tazewell County Public Library in Tazewell, VA. The class begins at 9:00 am and ends at 1:00 pm. The cost of this class is $50.00 which includes the class and book fee.

Angela Keen is listed on the Virginia Judicial System’s website of Parent Education Seminar Providers as a qualified provider of the court ordered Parent Education Classes.

6 week Involved Parenting class – Tazewell and Dickenson Counties

This 6-session comprehensive class, taught by a Certified Parenting Instructor, will educate parents in a variety of areas that will ultimately help improve and build parenting skills.  Participants will receive a certificate after participating in all 6 sessions.

Tazewell County – The class is held at the Clinch Valley Community Action Building in Tazewell, VA each Tuesday morning from 9:00 am till 11:00 am.  The price for this class is $250.00 plus a book fee of $50.00 totaling $280.00
